Howdy all,
I recieved the good news from my wife that the waiver was approved and the visa delivered to her Tuesday morning. I felt that the processing time was very qucik, but im not going to complain. I did write up my own HSL and did not use an attorney. I did submit concrete evidence with employment verification letters, doctors notes, mortgage notes, family ties, etc....
Now im just looking for an airline ticket for her to fly.
Here is the timeline
Nov 2002 - met wife
July 2003 - wife went back to Philippines ( we were not married yet)
Feb 2004 - visited my wife / gf at the time and her family
May 2004 - wife tried to revist US and was turned around and sent back to the Philippines.
June 2005 - married my wife
Nov 2005 - filed I130 petition for wife
Mar 2006 - I130 approved
Oct 2006 - submitted AOS and Consular Processing Fees
Nov 2007 - submitted DS203 forms ( reason it took so long was because my wife was in nursing school and graduated in April of 2007 and then took the nursing local boards and passed)
Feb 2008 - Immigrant interview. Visa denied at interview but consular officer did say she was eligible for a waiver
Feb 2008 - submitted I601 waiver and I212.
Mar 2008 - recieved letter asking for more evidence
Mar 2008 - re-submitted more evidence
April 2008 - waiver approved
May 2008 - Packet delivered to my wife stating waiver is approved and visa is within the packet.
There is a GOD out there!
Thank You to all
