I filed the I-130 petition for my husband on May 24, 2007 and have yet to receive a receipt notice or NOA1. I've called USCIS 1-800# various times (like 20 times) but they always tell me to keep waiting.
It's been three months! Is this happening to anyone else? Is this normal?
:confused1:

I received my NOA1 in 17 days.
Have they cashed your I-130 check?
Do you have proof of delivery from the USPS?
I would investigate further...

I also received my receipt notice in 17 days!! :D
We mailed our petition on May 22 - and the receipt notice and check cashed on June 8th!
I agree with lvluck ... try to investigate a little further. Do you actually have any proof that they recieved your packet? Did you send it via any trackable delivery system? If you did send a cashiers check, do you have the receipt of that to find out if it was cashed? Did you keep copies of EVERYTHING you sent - just to verify the address was correct? I am not trying to say it was your error - but I would be double checking everything at this point - because it really seems abnormal to me that you havent heard anything yet - and its been almost 3 months!!
I know at the time we filed (late may) CSC was experiencing delays in their receipting times - however, that was to be corrected by June 15th - and they were to be compliant since then.

Well, I do have a receipt number that I got from an officer I spoke to. I also sent it certified mail, return receipt requested. I confirmed they received it on May 28th. The money order was cashed a week later. I keep call the stupid 1-800#, they say it's on the system, but that I have to wait! I don't know what else to do? Should an infopass appointment be necessary?
