processing in panama

Hello everyone,
I am processing my 601 waiver throuh Pamanma as well, I am originally from Guyana but I am now a permenent Resident of Canada. However, my lawywer advised me to process through Guyana consulate but the 601 are processed in Panama. I filed a I-129 two mounths ago.
