Hi all Chuck and Teresa here does any one know how getting a Senator or a Congressman involed in your case can help. We have sought assistance from these repersentives to help with our K1 visa. We are not sure what we are up against however we did give them burden of proof/eveidence to prove our case. The consulate in Juarez Mexico just flat out told it is is there belief that we are married. They did not give us reason or eveidence to back up their desicion nor written reason fo their denial. They just told us to file an I 130. As I believe that is for couples who are already married and we are not and do have Certified letters from the state to prove that we are not what we are saying is truth. However the consulate rejected it as proof even after they requested us to get it. Can you believe that we are still in disbelif and shock. Most of what I have read on this site, the consulates office has to give you written reason of denial based on the is the law of their desicion. They did not even ssay that we was trying to commit fraud. My fiancee or I has never had any infractions of law. What is the issue here. I have tried to research this here but I dont seem to find where this has happened to many times before or atleast to the people who are willing to stand up for their rights in this situation. Any help would be an answer to our Prayers. So what do you think can memebers of Congress and the Senate help us. Thanks for your insight Chuck and Teresa.

1) Simple internet search for your US Senator and congressman
2) Download the privacy form. Fill it out. Write a brief explanation and request for assistance
3) Fax the form to their office. Call to make sure it is received. Get the email address, name and direct phone number of the liaison assigned to your case and stay on top of them.
4) Call the Director of Immigrant Visas in Ciudad Juarez - number posted here on the site. Speak to him directly - request advice and assistance.

If you haven't already, I would PM the admin of this site and make sure that your personal information i.e. CDJ case number is edited out.

Good luck.

Thanks for your reply we have already filled out the privacy forms and talked directly to the offices and sent faxes. Our congressman has already recieved a fax back from Juarez stating that our reviewing our case. That has been about three weeks ago. As far as the Director of the Immigrant Visa where again can I find that number. We have been on this site for less than 24 hours and it is very helpful. We thank you for all your help we just feel like we are lost in the dark but we are trying, learning and posting. Hope we can learn more so we can assit others the way you are helping us today.. Thank Chuck and Teresa
