Not Sure if this is Good to Post Here,

Hi, All Chuck and Teresa here. Sorry if we have posted this in the wrong spot. IF so can someone direct to the right area. We are still brand new to this site. We called our Senator back to help with our case and they stated the already sent a request for review or something like that :yay2:. So now this means we now have Senator McCaskill and Senator Bond, Congressman Cleaver and our Attorney making a review or appeal for us. We have also made front page news in our local For those of you who dont know. We were denied our K1 visa because the consulate denied our case stating he believed we were already married. :wha: He sent us away and requested us to come back with a certified letter stating that we were not married and we did however he denied us anyway.:gaah: So now we must wait to see what is next. Has anyone been through this process. What thoughts do you have what is the next step for us. Praying and Learning here in Juarez Chuck and Teresa.

Why did they think you were already married? To each other?

Why did they think you were already married? To each other?

Because of some of engagment photos, plus we was going to get married while my fiancee was on a tourist visa. Then we heard it could be illegal and also could be consider fraud. But most of all my fiancee family wanted us to get married in the church. With her being catholic they were not excitied about just getting a married license and having an at home marriage. So we before we turned the marriage license in, we made photo copy of the unused license to include in our packet for the K1 visa. To show true intent of wanting to be married and the willingness to comply with the laws of each country. Also by obtaing the marriage license it shows that you are free and clear to be married. The unused marriage license is public record and was east to get a copy of proving we are not married. However the consulate would not except it even after they requested and they refused to go to the U.S. Goverment website to confirm our story. It is like catch 22 down there it is almost like there is no right or wrong only their opinion. That was our personal experence. I can not speak for the whole consulate of course. So we are fight for our K1 due to we are not married and we are still eligable for the visa and the have no legal grounds to deny us.
