I have to go to consulate in Rio to get my visa on the 23rd of june. and they asked to prove relationship between my wife and I during the time we were waiting for the waiver to be approved.
how can we proved that if the whole time we were together during the waiting period for waiver approved in brasil.
any answers are appreciated.

This seems weird. Your I-130 was approved which shows your marrige is real. Why are they asking for more?
Take your I-130 approval notice with you, and take photos showing you two together while you waited for them to adjuticate your waiver.
I guess just take anything you can think of that shows that you were together the whole time.

I would take cards, letters, e-mails with time stamps, and pictures you have during that time, copies of phone bills showing the cards.
Did he travel there during that time?? copies of stamps in passports or boarding passes will also help.

Bring anything that confirms your relationship. Letters to each other, including letters explicitly stating your intent for each other. Include pictures of you together, airplane tickets, or anything else that shows you are together. If you live together, get something that shows both of your names on something with the same address (such as utility bills, etc.).

When my fiance went for her visa pick up, Rio sent a letter asking for proof of relationship while the waiver was pending along with other updated information. She brought emails, legal correspondence, phone cards, phone bills, etc. And they never even asked her for it!

She is in Brasil with me, then I can't show any phone bills, but I did apply for her permanent visa here in Brasil and the federal police stamped her passport, now she has a permanent visa, it could help me? thanks.

You can use her passport and visa as prroof that she was in Brazil. Perhaps she still has her airline tickets? You could have a few people make a statement that she is living with you in Brazil. It really shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!

Hi Adeildo, I was aproved in Lima end of April, and I will be in Rio to pick up my visa in June 23rd as well. I was asked the same thing, to prove that my husband and I are still together. Our lawyer recommended in addition to pictures and airline/hotel receipts, it would be nice if your spouse wrote a notarized(s.p.?) letter stating you are still together. Do you know how soon we get the passports back after the appointment on the 23rd? I bought an airline ticket for the 25th but I can still change it. Good luck! Camilla

They send the visa by mail. It would take a miracle to have it by the 25th. I would change the flight. Depending where you are in Brazil, it could take a week or so to the visa. They didn't even mail my fiance's until 2 days after her appointment.

I got a one way on American Airlines, it's called the economy flex and you can change the dates and it's fully refundable, US$ 1200 to JFK. And I am not leaving Rio, I am going to wait for my Visa there, no reason to go anywhere. I have been reading you have to wait, Adeildo until comes in the mail which is ridiculous. I have no family in Rio, and Recife is not around the corner. But oh well! We Got to bite the bullet! If there is a way to change my flight for the same day I get my visa in hand I will.

Well, the price of gas in has gone way up. Unless you try TAM, but it was about the same. And it's summer in the US, it costs more to travel. Where are you from in Brazil, Adeildo?

It may sound crazy, but when my fiance came to the US from Brazil, it was cheaper for a round trip ticket than it was for a one way. I bought the ticket for her here in the US. There is a company called Chang's Express here in MA and they have the best ticket prices I was able to find.

I know, but prices have gone up, believe me my husband worked for an airline. It is very expensive to fly on summertime and the price of gas has gone way up, they are even going to start making you pay for every checked bag you bring on the plane. Gas is too expensive and the airlines are broke.

I would be fine staying in a hotel, but Rio is dangerous and I will be alone, so I would need to be somewhere nice and safe, but I think my friend will come up with something soon. And for the airline, oh well, hopefully this is my last time in Brazil. You have to do what you have to do, throw it on the card any pay it later!

If you need to stay in a hotel, let me know. There are a few good ones near the embassy that are quite safe. My fiance stayed there alone overnight 3 different times during this process.

Oh wow, I might want to do that Shrek, you never know. I am a little paranoid when it comes to that stuff, Lived for 10 years in the US, when I went back to Brazil I was afraid to leave the house. Rio wasn't that bad but Recife, my town is very very dangerous no matter where you go.
