sorry...i dont really know where to post this but maybe you guys can just move me if needed.
i have read that the processing time for the I130 is between 9 and 10 months right now...im not sure if its updated or anything
well my question is if it would be a good idea to file the I129f after the NOA1 of I130...considering the waiting time.
well like all of you i would like to go back home as fast as possible and considering my options.
if anyone knows how long the waiting times are for the I129f together with the I130 right now please let me know i would really appreciate it.
thankies:blush:

at this point, there does not seem to be any additional benefit for filing the i-129f. if you will be filing through VSC, do not even bother--they cancelled mine. people through CSC have had theirs approved, but it is difficult to determine if it made the process go any faster. mine took 8 months to the day.

If you are in Jersey then you would prolly be going to Vermont. Just file the I-130 no point in filing the I-129F. At this point it really does not speed up the process and Vermont has stopped processing the I-129F's.

yes, jersey will go through vermont. in that case, sending the i-129f is a waste of time. i actually got a letter from them stating that my i-129f had been cancelled since i also filed the i-130. they're not supposed to do that, but what am i going to do?

ugh hmm...well as far as my hubby has told me he has to send the I130 to washington po box...im guessing thats where he would have to send the I129f too then...just guessing though...i dont want to put out false information on that.
he wants to send the I129f in anyways since it doesnt cost him more to do so ...yet again i dont have prove for that but thats what he said.
now im not sure...the vermont office is the NVC or the USCIS?
sorry im really not as stupid as it seems i just get a lot of things confused lately trying to get this all together along with worrying about the hardships that we dont seem to have :(

you don't send anything to washington. here is what the instructions say:

Where To File?
If you are the petitioner and you reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming and you are filing only Form I-130, mail the petition to the USCIS Lockbox Facility. The address is as follows:
USCIS P.O. Box 804625 Chicago, IL 60680-1029

If you are the petitioner and you reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia, or District of Columbia and you are filing only Form I-130, mail the petition to the USCIS Lockbox Facility. The address is as follows:
USCIS P.O. Box 804616 Chicago, IL 60680-1029
NOTE: If the Form I-130 petition is being filed concurrently with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, submit both forms concurrently to:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4120
For private couriers (non USPS) deliveries:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Attn: FBASI 427 S. LaSalle - 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60605-1098

i mean, if it will help you, i can fax or email you a copy of the letter vermont sent me that stated that they had cancelled my i-129f...

the vermont office is USCIS. NVC is in new hampshire.

Once you have both approved what is the best way to go. I 129F or I 130. Which is faster, safer. We have to file the I 601 anyways. so what do you guys think.

i think you don't have a choice. you will be made to go with the K3 (i-129f) and your i-130 will be held here at the NBC or local office until you are back, at which point it will be dredged up when you AOS here. if you decide that you want to go with the i-130, you will have to file form i-824 to get them to send your i-130 to NVC and begin processing--and that can take months. you should just go with the flow and do the K3 without all the hassle and long wait of trying to convince them to process your IR1.

JSierra, I really don't know if you are trying to help, but the fact that you tell every single person is trying to file an I-129F tha is a waste of time is discouraging. I also have a post on this section of the forum and you replied w/the same answer, you don't even share your experience you just keep saying "it was cancelled"

I can't go the California Service Center route because they don't have jurisdiction over our state.

Anyone else, more positive, could give us a piece of advice? thank you, and good luck to all the couples.

guess what? it IS discouraging. and my experience? no experience, i just got a letter saying it was cancelled. that WAS my experience--and if you want more, read through the rest of my posts, because i have shared every second of my process with everyone. immigration IS discouraging. your screenname says it all. i'm just telling the truth, but if you want to find me saying positive things, read the rest of my posts again, because i've said plenty. go ahead, file the i-129f. i never said not to, i just said it is a waste of time, ask lexxy, ask djones. this is my honest opinion--and i will not mask my honest opinion from anybody, nor will i sugar-coat it to give people hope that may or may not be false. immigration is discouraging and it is a major issue in all of our lives that pushes us all to the limit every day, and we have no choice but to deal, and no other place but here. want to talk about negative? wait till a disaster touches your case that you have to struggle, beg, plead, cry, write, fax, call, then we'll talk negative.
