I called the US embassy call center today and asked them about the status of my visa. I'm just wondering because I've submitted everything they needed last April 30 and haven't heard for them. The lady I talked to told me that my papers were sent back to the Consular Services Unit for further evaluation. And if I haven't heard from them in 6 weeks to call them back. 6 weeks! What does this mean? When I went to the embassy and when they checked my files, the lady there told me that it was approved. I'm getting scared. I don't want them to change their decison.

Sending prayers your way! I have no idea what this means, but I hope it doesn't mean anything bad. Can you have your husband have his congress person check and see what the problem is?

My parents-in-law are in contact with a congressman right now. His office said that they will check with the embassy. I emailed my lawyer and she said, she can't tell for now what it means but then she thinks that I should not worry; it may just be a routine procedure. Thanks for your prayers! I'll keep you posted.
