My husband, who is a US citizen, filed an I-130 for me two years ago, in order to adjust my status since my visa was expired. After it was aproved, we didn't file the next forms yet (I-485, affidavit of support, biografic sheet) because we knew that with the size of our household (we have children) we didn't have enough income to meet the affidavit of support requirements. Now, two years later, we finally do and are ready to complete the process, but we are wondering if the I-130 is still valid, since it has been more than two years from the day we sent it. What should we expect? is it expired? will this affect the final desition? will we still need a cosponsor because our income wasn't "good enough" for them the past few years even if it's better now?
