How did I ever live life without one!?! My cousin got a grill 2 years ago for he wedding and never used it so she asked me if i wanted it so I said why not. I am the type of person who doesn't really like to cook, but if I find a thing that I like cooking with then I am happy. Like my crock pot....Who invented that thing? Just throw it in and go! Love it. Now the grill. So far I have only cooked hamburgers and bacon in it, but LOVE it!! I don't like to fry things cause I am trying to diet so now can eat a Cheeseburger on my diet. Some hamburger, Fat Free Cheese, whole grain bun, Ketchup, and fat free mayo. It is SOOOO good. I put some Johnnys and Garlic in the hamburgert meat too.

Anyways I just want to say I LOVE MY GEORGE FORMAN GRILL.....I need the one with the Tortilla warmer now.

I have never owned a George Foreman grilll...but that is the first thing that my daughter in law wanted when she got here. she is very exercise and diet strict and she cooks her chicken breast on there.

she is going to be competing in some bikini beauty contest in a couple of weeks... this is a whole new world for me... so I am interested to see how this works...

The whole dripping fat thing I don't like, but then I think at least I am not eating that stuff, but you should try it! It cooks thing so fast and they taste really good. I want to grill some veggies on there.

My brother gave me one and I love the way the food cooks and tastes, just HATE to clean it so it's gathering dust in the cabinet.

Yes the cleaning is not fun, but I just take a sponge and wipe it down.

we also cook just about everything in there....burgers, steaks, chicken breasts, you name it. I just like that it leaves everything pretty juicy - and its quick!!

I have found its much easier to clean when its still warm, you just wipe it down with a damp cloth ... works better than trying to do it when its cooled down completely!

OK, I am going to look at getting one...I don't know which one.

Then maybe the second step will be the bikini contest. :)

pinkpig...I like your way of thinking. You know it seems that several of us are trying to diet...maybe we can all diet and then do the bikini contest together lol...yeah right...thats one contest i don't ever see me in.

don't worry princesa - I dont see myself in a bikini contest either - no matter how much weight I lose....

2 kids (and too much 'proof' of it) just makes a girl too self conscious!

they aren't bad to clean if you sponge them off right after you cook and while it is still hot..

I love to cook steaks on it. Freeze the steaks (it can't be a super thick one) sprinkle some of the "Grill Mates" Montreal steak seasoning and throw it on frozen. The thing will be super tender!! The only thing that I've found difficult to cook on it is fish because it will break it up too much...

I like to use it for salmon steaks or chicken breasts.

Another tip I read on cleaning was to soak two paper towels and place them on the grill, close the top and and let the gook steam off. Afterwards, wipe down with a sponge.

I do weight watchers. I have stopped since my depression came back, but my first week I lost 5 lbs and an average of 2 - 3 every week after that. In 3 months I lost about 23 lbs. It's so easy, but I am hooked on 2% milk and it's hard to go to 1% or skim.

I'm a vegetarian, so I don't think I'd get much use out of one, but maybe I should buy one for my poor husband when he gets home... Or when we are together somewhere else, even.
My mother-in-law thought I must be starving him because I don't cook the poor boy meat, but he knew just what to do if he wanted some :innocent:
He went to see my mother. LOL
I think now that he's in Mexico without me he eats meat all the time. I always tell him he's going to have a heart attack with all that grease and meat. Maybe I should bring him one of those George Forman grills now!

My friend is a vegitarian and she had one. She grilled veggies on it all the time, but then her sister cooked meat on it and she never used it again. I think she may have bought another one, but there is quite a bit in the book that does not require meat. I also believe there is a receipe book for it.

I always find that everything I cook on it is dry like chicken and not tender at all with steak. Maybe I just cant cook :)

Manda,

I think one trick someone said was cook it straight from the freezer? My Cheeseburgers were a little dry so then i added some Worchester Sause (I think I spelled that wrong)
