that the i-864EZ is not significantly EZ-er than the regular i-864?

i was making such a big deal about being able to use the EZ and they are really identical except for a few checkboxes and the absence of the assets and joint info, which you are just directed to skip and leave blank on the regular one...

i think i'm going to do the regular and not the EZ even though i qualify for the EZ for the simple fact that you can save data typed in the form on adobe and you can't on the EZ.

I'm confused. I have never heard of the I864EZ. Who qualifies and what is the difference?? How does it benefit anyone to use it or not?? Thanks!

it's just a shorter form of the i-184 that can be used if you are the sole sponsor and all the income you are using to qualify is on your w-2.

perez, they did your IV bill really early! they generated my AOS bill but not IV bill.

But going the EZ path it means just showing the last tax year, not the three last tax years...

that's not true, i'm looking at them both right now and item 25 on the i-864 and item 19 on the EZ are identical and they both say,

Federal income tax information.
I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have attached the
required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.

My total income (adjusted gross income on IRS Form 1040EZ) as reported on my Federal tax
returns for the most recent three years was:

Tax Year
(most recent) $
(2nd most recent) $
(3rd most recent) $

(Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal tax returns for my second
and third most recent tax years.

the directions for both say:

You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopyfrom your own records of your Federal individual income taxreturn for the most recent tax year. If you believe additionalreturns may help you to establish your ability to maintainsufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopiesof your Federal individual income tax returns for the threemost recent years.
