I need a recipe for Asado, does anyone know how to make good Asado? I'm planning a B-Day party for my daughter and everyone alwasy makes Brisket so I want to make something else. Or maybe you can give me an idea besides these two. My husband doesn't want to cook hamburgers so that's out. Maybe I should just order pizza, pero me van a criticar, verdad?

everyone always wants to Criticize, Especially moms or mother in laws. AHHH!
They make you feel so lazy, with anything you do.

Any way BBQ ribs are good. I just add the BBQ sauce "bull's eye(original)" For sides I do mashed potatoes, corn and macaroni salad(with mayonesa.)( think sides like kfc)
Or chicken legs, add season salt. (I like "johnny's season salt". It is so good it has everything you need and you just add it like salt.
do the rice and beans,or have someone do them for you.(i always make my mom do them)
I am the queen of making parties in my family. I got tired of regular carne asada a long time ago. I add season salt to them ,when I do make them and I make tortas with them.So good.
Anyway I tried to suggested things that are not hard to make. I hope at least I gave you an idea.

I'm having a party for my son's 1st b-day and I was also undecided(still am) but we are going to chuck E cheese and we'll eat pizza.

BBQ ribs sound good, and who doesn't like BBQ ribs??

Try www.allrecipes.com

I get all my recipes from there, and foodnetwork.com

And yes, everybody criticize!! but as long as the birthday girl is happy nothing else should matters.

www.recipezaar.com is a good one too. We usually have meat, if you have a carniceria nearby you could get adobada, which would already be seasoned. Or you cold buy just meat thin sliced. About an hour before put some seasoning salt, salt, pepper, and lime or orange juice and let the meat sit. It really gives a good flavor. We usually have onions cooked in butter in tin foil with our carne asada. And of course nopales if we could ever find them. I usually put on a few chicken legs too. Right when they're done put bbq sauce on them. It's really good and my husband will actually eat it. There is also some good marinade. You can find the faujita marinade or chile and lime and they're pretty good on the grill.
ooohhh or cornish game hens with guacamole.. yummm

That is what I was going to suggest is a carniceria nearby we have them all over here and we can get every kind of meat marinated. Me I have beent here done that with parties and cooking, here we have a real nice guy that will come to your house and make and serve all you can eat tacos de carne asada, leunga, and al pastor for one price. And he provides all the paper goods and garnishes, I know it may sound expensive but when you tallyup what all you have to provide for a party it actually comes out cheaper believe it or not.

But as for your question, I suggest the marinate with salt pepper, and lime just before you cook the meat. Cucumbers, red onions, habaneros cut in little pieces, and like 4 limes (squeezed in the salad) let it set for a while and when serving your meat put that out I bet it goes first, hubby likes this with any meal serves as a salad of sort.
