So.. I didn't think it would come this far... but it has and we have almost reached our 12 month waiting mark.

Starting in 2 weeks do you think I should start making calls and sending inquiries about our case to CDJ?... I mean do they really work?? you think? or should I just continue to wait patiently??:waiting:

I just think its ridiculous that I'm still waiting and ppl from last december are too..

I have no problem calling them and sending letters telling them exactly "how it is" ... if they are going to deny us.. they will do it anyways but i shouldn't have to wait 1.5 years for that..

Also are these numbers correct?

900-476-1212<-- Hasn't this number changed to making info pass appts only? or not?

202-663-1541<---- this is DOS?

One of these is a fax number..... i forgot which lol :innocent:

011-52-656-613-2069

011-52-656-611-5284

thx guys ur the best!

Go ahead and call..........can't hurt. I just wouldn't call all the time, you know how things are in CDJ.

Did you ever send in more info?

I know exactly how you feel. I would fax an inquiry to Warren Janssen to
011526566169388 or 011526566169027.

I would email Mexico.Uscis@dhs.gov,
cdjimmigrantvisas@state.gov.

Have your Senator's office do an official inquiry.

I would call the 900# and give them your situation on how long you have been waiting. Tell them to request an inquiry on your behalf. They may ask for your email address.

Good luck!

I would call and send letters/faxes. But, if it were me I would make a plan as to how often I was going to do it so that I didn't drive myself crazy. Maybe Send something every 2 weeks for a couple months, then every week, etc.

The 202 number is the same one I have...but these are the fax numbers I have (don't know if they are right--mine might be the consulate, not DHS)

011526566169388
011526566169027

I'd also send a regular letter to the El Paso address and maybe make contact with a congressional office.

Good luck. I have followed your timelines, because sadly, had we been allowed to submit our waiver without the name check issue we would have submitted it about the same time as you...

Ditto what everyone said. I would def start sending faxes and calling for an inquiry. I would send it directly to Warren if you could.

Yep, I agree!! CALL!!!! Send inquiries, get Senator's office involved (someone besides Hillary, since she's a little busy these days). Don't be afraid to bother them, it has been far too long!

Alicia, call!! And contact Senator Clinton's office AGAIN to see if they can send an inquiry too. I know her office has failed you in the past, but maybe you can point that out, as well as the fact that your husband has been in Mexico for 2 years, and they will do something for you.
Tell them your vote is hanging in the balance! (Even if it's not true)

Good luck Alicia! I agree with everyone else, you should go for it...There's no reason for them to keep you waiting more than 12 months. Keep us informed!!

You should try your State Representative, sometimes they can do an inquiry for you. The first time I wrote to mine they called the consulate so I'm thinking they'll do the same for you, I hope.
