Hey guys,

My boyfriend went to the police station and asked them to check on his criminal record. They told him that they did not find anything. So I shouldn't be worried. He only has a speeding ticket. Will that be a problem.

I'm mean if the police didn't find anything than that's great.

then there is no problem...if he is from mexico and has had no arrests here, he doesn't need police certificates.

Is there something you suspected they would find? If so, you should check the state database for the state where you live as well. For example, in Colorado, where I live, you would check the Colorado Bureau of Investigation website and run a criminal background check. There is probably something similar for whatever state you live in. These records are passed to the FBI, so if it is in the state database, you can expect that the FBI has the records too.
