ok...i've been around for a while...but i don't know the difference between an IR1 and CR1. i'm doing james shortcuts for my AOS fee bill (the printed one because the operator told me my invoice # wasn't available yet) and it says, "if you are applying for an IR1 instead of a CR1 make sure to change "CR1" to "IR1" everywhere you see it." and...i don't know which one i am applying for. :shy:

Generally you apply for removal of conditions 2 years after entering the US, not 2 years after marriage......just so you know in advance :)
But that will be clear once hubby gets his visa because when he crosses into the US, they will stamp it with an expiration date. Go according to that.

yep, you're right :) here is what the dept of state website says:
You and your spouse must apply together to remove the conditions on your residence. You should apply during the 90 days before your second anniversary as a conditional resident. The expiration date on your alien registration card (commonly know as green card) is also the date of your second anniversary as a conditional resident. If you do not apply to remove the conditions in time, you could lose your conditional resident status and be removed from the country.
