How do I make sure I'm getting/got a new appointment?

I faxed in requests on the 25th and I called to ask for a new appointment. How do I know when they even acknowledge the request ?

I think others have received a form letter about a month after their request stating that the interview will be scheduled in 4-6 months.

Yeah, I think it generally comes as a suprise when one day you get the letter for the new appointment. I know Gaby get the letter about 5 days before the appointment, so they had to reschedule AGAIN! Ugh!

Hello Bohorquez I also got denied in March 6, 2008 and I requested a new appointment of March 24, 2008 and I got a letter from the consulate informing me I should received a new appointment in four to six monts, I got the letter like a week ago. So now I am waiting for a new appoitment to redo the whole process.
