I know that there are a lot of ups and downs with the whole immigration process, but I think it's been especially hard for a lot of people lately who are waiting to hear something on their waivers, and we've had this WAY too long dry spell.
And we haven't had a prayer vigil in a while (or at least, if we have, I've been out of the loop LOL), so I think we should schedule one. What about tomorrow (Friday) evening sometime? Anyone interested?

I am interested...we could include it with the Friday night chat club. I think it would definitely help and I have never seen a prayer vigil on here so that is wonderful...thanks for the idea

Hey I missed friday night chat last week because me and my hubby ended up going out. Did we end up taking it to laura's chatroom?
Sorry for my ignorance you guys, could you explain to me what a prayer vigil is? In either case, I'm definately interested!

What time does the Friday night chat start?
If I remember correctly, the way it was done in the past was that a certain time was scheduled and then people prayed, reflected, etc. wherever they are at the same time - so even though we're not physically together we can feel a strong sense of solidarity and support (okay, I know that sounds really cheesy, but it's kinda nice to think about too ;) I think in the past there may have been certain prayers that some folks suggested? I don't remember exactly. Hopefully some past participants will chime in...

yup... in laurel's chat room, visacentral.net
I think we could definitely incorporate the chat, and people who aren't online or away from computers pray and reflect on their own.

Me too. Hopefully I'll see you girls tomorrow night....well, that is if my husband doesnt lose his job tonight...long story (they told him tonight there is an issue with his ss# - go figure, but I dont think its tied to the no match letters yet ...) ...but that definately sounds like a great thing for me to add to my prayer session tomorrow!

Thank you Lachula - he has/had 2 jobs - but they both were so that we could save money for this upcoming 'journey' in CDJ - and not just break even - I dont know what will happen after he comes home tonight - but we'll see..
When do you start your new job? Or have you already??? That has to be coming up soon - are you excited?

Just wanted to add some words of encouragement...Never forget that God is still in the business of working miracles! I can truly empathize with you all. I'm at the point where I am debating whether or not to continue with the processing outside of the U.S. and risk not being able to see my husband for a LOOOOONG while. I don't think I am emotionally ready for this, especially my two children and the one that is due in December! (Yikes!) Everytime I begin to fret, I just whisper a prayer that God's Almighty power will intervene in what seems like hopeless situations such as ours. I try to remember the Bible verse, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid John 14:27. I wish you all a comforting peace during your darkest moments during this process! :0)

I will be glad to if you tell me what time, but I can't join the chat because my computer does not connect to her chat, but tell me the time and I will do it here.

What about 9 PM Central time? How does that time work for everyone? (i'm flexible on time, but I thought I'd just throw a time out there and we can change it if necessary)

If anyone has any special prayers, passages, inspirational quotes, etc. that they would like to share with the group so that we can all use them during the vigil, please feel free!

I think 9 CST sounds good for the prayer vigil!! Maybe we can post another message tomorrow reminding everyone of the time!

I think 9 central is fine for me...I think that is like maybe 10 est.
Also I do have a request and maybe its a little petty, but if you can take just a second to say a prayer for me...I have been extremely stressed this past weekend and due to that I have hurt my teeth by clenching in my sleep and now I am unable to eat (not that not eating is a bad thing maybe I can lose some weight, but I am in some pretty severe pain). Thanks to all of you and I want to say once again that I am very happy to have found this site and "met" all of you...I believe God led me to this web site to bless my life once again.

sorry to hear that princesa. you will be in our thoughts.
does anyone know if I can change the thread title? I know we could do that on the old site but i can't figure out how to do it with this shnazzy new site! I thought I'd change the thread title so that people can see the scheduled time on the title. If not, I'll just start a new thread.
and by the way, does 30 minutes sound like a good amount of time? 9-9:30 PM CST?

I don't think you can change the title, so I would just start a new thread.
