i got a letter from the US embassy telling me that they have reviewed my file and gave me instructions to submit new police clearance, medical report and my passport to continue/conclude the processing of my visa application. does this mean that my waiver has been approved? they won't tell me to submit those if i was disapproved, right? i am so happy right now; to think that i submitted my waiver here in Manila, Philippines (the most notorious consulate). thanks for all your support and prayers.

It definitely sounds like an approval! Congratulations! Call the DOS line and see if they have it registered, that would be one way to get confirmation.

WOW! That is how I found out of my waiver approval, not that I needed new police certificates, etc, but a letter that stated that I had an appointment to continue processing of my visa.....
Gracey - there should be a phone number on there - call and ask about your waiver.
If you got approved through Manila - WOWOWOWWOWOW... I really just hope this is good news!

There was no number. What's DOS line? I called the US embassy call center (which charges way too expensive per minute) and the lady I talked to said that they don't have information whether it's approved or not. I am very optimistic about this! I really can't wait to be with my hubbie again. This is like a miracle! Manila! WOW!!!! God is sooo good!

Maybe the DHS number... let me find it...
1-202-282-8000 Free
1-202-663-1541 Free
I don't know for sure which of these is the right number but they are free so give it a try!

Gracey025,
That is the exact same letter that our DIL got from Brazil. We were also cautious and so DIL called Rio de Janeiro (where the waiver had been filed)and they told her yes, she was approved.
So congratulations!!!!

I am excited for you. But could you tell me what kind of waiver did you submitted? Because I am waiting for my interview here in Manila, my lawyer thinks that I will need I601. Did they ask you question? How was it infront of the consulate are they really notorious? Thanks, hope you can give me some idea. :yay2:
