So cool! I love growing veggies and herbs. I might get some work done on mine this weekend but next weekend the farmer's market opens up near me and that is where I get most of my plants. I will post some photos then!

Wish I had a piece of land to garden in. My mom has lemons, apricots, oranges and a pomegradate.
Oh and she has a chile plant. Those are kind of wild in south Tx.

Our biggest problem is all the cats around here...Myself and all our neighbors have cats and there are a lot of strays too so they consider my yard one big litter box eww!...If I see them in my garden I try spray them with the hose!

they were leaving stuff in my yard too and I started doing that also and now when they see me they run. I just thought that was funny because I thought I was the only one who did that.:bounce:
when I have time I will start a garden too. Yours looks like it was a lot of work and it is looking good.

I heard that mulch helps and also chili powder. I did the chili powder thing and the cats haven't come back. Of course with a big garden, chili powder isn't always the best solution.

I was thinking to try and put chili powder around the fences..I do love those little guys.so thanks for this idea..wouldn't want to use anything that would hurt them...

Your garden is huge! It's spring here but were having really weird weather here this year. A coule days ago it was even snowing, and it never snows this time of year!
I did plant some strawberries yesterday; my daughter did I should say. Last year she ruined my strawberry starts because she planted them roots up lol. Why she thought the green side goes into the dirt I'll never know, lollll

looks great!
i know for squirrels and birds you're supposed to put cat hair around your garden--but i guess that wouldn't work for repelling other cats!

Gosh, I prefer to plant flowers and to buy the veggies at the farmer's market, but now you all have given me veggie fever.
I think I'll let the kids plant a couple of veggies in one of the flower beds this weekend to get them interested in gardening. They love to play in the dirt so, it should be pretty fun.
I used to sell plants & all the veggies that did not sell, I would plant them and give them away to the customers. The only thing is that, sometimes, I would end up with tons of only one or two different types of vegetables. One year it was zuchinni and some odd pepper. It was difficult to even give away!
If I can figure out how to post pictures, I'll share a couple.

My kids loved it..My 1 and 3 year old helped me pull weeds. and helped daddy do a lot of the planting. Everyday since they are out there checking on THEIR garden...and helping me water. It has definitely become a fun family thing...my oldest well.. getting her out there away from texting or talking on the phone that's a different story!lol
