Is there anyway of bringing my brother here who lives in another country, is over 21

I am a LPR and wanted to find out the process to bring him here legally. How long does it take and is it possible.

Hi Lala,

You have to be a citizen to petition your brother, and then the wait time for a visa number to become available is at least 12 years, depending on what country you are from.

The visa bulletin (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4177.html) is a little confusing, but it basically lists the different family-based categories near the top, and then shows in the little box below what month they are currently working on. So, for example, right now they are working on petitions for siblings from Mexico from Dec. 1994, meaning the wait is 14 years.
