Dear Sir or Madam,
I, BV, declare under the penalty of perjury, under the laws of the United States, that the following is true and correct:
I am submitting this letter in support to the I-601 waiver petition filed for my wife, Mrs. Jboo.
Before anything I want to point out that my wife was brought to the US without inspection at age of 13 in the year 1997 and has never left the country ever since.
My Son and I, as U. S. Citizens, urge and plead for you to allow my wife to return to the United States of America. Our only infant son age 22months old and I need her all the areas of our lives. If my wife’s visa is not granted, I will be forced to abandon many responsibilities at home plus I and my son will face extreme medical hardships if I am forced to move to Mexico in order to reunite my family.
Family background
I met my wife in the summer of 2005 while she was working as a caregiver in Laguna Beach California. When met and I was not love at first sight but we felt certain chemistry between us. We would call each other every night for a few weeks and spoke on the phone for hours then I started to become like a secret admirer and would send her roses and leave teddy bears at her door sometimes chocolates, after a while she decided to go out with me. Our love grew and we decided to live our lives together after just a few months. She got to meet my mother and father and the rest of the family. our baby was born on July 15, 2006. We got married on August 15, 2006. Now I love her and our little Ethan more than I love myself and we do not want to be apart from each other.
I. Extreme Medical Hardship for Citizen Child
My only Son had suffered from chronic Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) since birth now at 22 months of age he suffers from Asthma and requires using a nebulizer everyday at least once morning and once at night He requires regular visits to his pediatrician for checkups and prescription refills he is on Albuterol and Pulmicort. Pulmicort he inhales daily and Albuterol is used when he has trouble breathing usually at night or during windy days. He needs to be under constant pediatric supervision since he is only an infant and just one Asthma attack could be fatal.
A. Ethan has been to the Emergency Room and Urgent Care several times.
Sometimes Ethan has trouble breathing in the middle of the night and we have been forced to take him to the emergency room or to the urgent care facility to get the appropriate medical attention.
If we had to relocate I would have to start from cero renting a house and without a car. Not having a car would affect us immensely because if My son suffered an attack we would have no way of taking him to the hospital immediately we would have to wait for taxis or go looking for someone with a car. That could take too much time and my son could die before we can find the way to get him to the hospital.
B. Ethan’s Medication.
The most important medications my son must have are Albuterol $65, Pulmicort $193, and Prednisolone $22. All of these are very expensive and necessary to treat his asthma and help keep our son in better health. Just one trip to the pharmacy per month costs $300 us dollars living in Mexico we would not be able to afford them.
II. Depression, Allergies and Potential for Inherited Illnesses
I suffer from several chronic illnesses including environmental allergies and depression which require me to visit my physician frequently. For my depression I have been prescribed Prozac a fairly expensive medication around $2-$3 per pill. I read on WebMD that a 75-80% of people who commit suicide in the U.S. are men. I had not required to be medicated for my chronic depression in along time until I found out that I might be separated from my spouse. The fear of being separated from her or the stress of relocating and losing all of our commodities has had a toll on my physical and mental health. My wife has helped my live a normal life style and If I lose her and my son I am sure that I will have a relapse with no one around to help me overcome my depression.
B. Chronic environmental allergies.
I have been treated for my allergies by the same doctor at Kaiser Permanente for twelve years and I have learned how to better live with my allergies thanks to him. My wife and my son have helped me a great deal with my depression but I feel that their love would not be sufficient to help me coupe with the symptoms. If I was to relocate I would not have the money to afford my own health insurance therefore I would be left without health care.
C. Risk of Inherited Illnesses
I am at very high risk of inherited illnesses such as diabetes high blood pressure and atherosclerosis (my mother and one of my brothers suffer from diabetes and high blood pressure, my father who recently passed away due to a heart attack also suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure).I am at high risk and for my peace of mind I need to be able to monitor my health constantly. I would be in extreme hardship if forced to relocate to Mexico where it would be difficult for me to obtain healthcare. Finally I would not be able to afford it.
D. Due to my Illnesses and Depression I have to be in good shape.
To help overcome my depression I have to exercise daily and have healthy diet. In the United States I belong to a gym 24 hours Fitness and have access to a lot of information and support when it comes to eating well and living healthy. Considering I am at high risk, the lack of access to good, affordable health care options would put my health in grave, immediate danger. The inability to ensure my own personal health, particularly considering my family history and great risk for heart disease would cause extreme hardship, stress and anxiety in my life. The combination of poor diet, lack of exercise, no preventative medical options nor access to good emergency care could be fatal.
