hey here is a little bit of my medical section for your review please tell me what you think and what you think i should change. Should I include recipts from my dr office visits?

Medical:

Both myself and my son have health issues that would be negatively impacted, to the point of being life threatening, if we did not have immediate access to expert medical care. I suffer from hypertension, migraines, and from a Inherited factor disease which makes me predisposed to getting blood clots.

I had the misfortune of having a pulmonary embolism in 2003 that was thankfully discovered when it had made its way unfortunately into my pulmonary artery in my left lung. I was tested for 3yrs to see why I had gotten the blood clot and it was discovered that I have a protein c, s deficiency I will need to take Warfarin (exhibit A.) a blood thinner everyday for the rest of my life to prevent my blood from clotting to thick. Blood thinners can help reduce the risk, but they increase your risk of bleeding. I have to be careful so that I do not cut myself and or watch getting bruised. I see my physician and have my blood tested every 2-4weeks.

Hypertension is called the “Silent Killer” because it often has no symptoms and can cause serious diseases or death if left untreated. Hypertension can cause a stroke by contributing to the process of atherosclerosis which can lead to blockages and or clots, or by weakening the blood vessel wall and causing it to rupture which can lead to paralysis, speech problems, and even death. Blockage of an artery of the heart leads to a heart attack, where the part of the heart that was supplied by the blocked artery dies. This weakens the heart and can even lead to death.
Hypertension can cause damage to the very small blood vessels in the retina causing impaired vision and even blindness.

I have been prescribed medication which I must take on a daily basis: Norvasc 10mg once daily, Metoprolol 25mg twice a day, and Spironolactone 50mg once daily. The cost of this medication for me to get on a monthly basis is $80.27 this cost is something that might not seem like a lot but to pay this much in Mexico would be the cost of ones paycheck (see exhibit A.) I monitor my blood pressure regularly and take this medication daily, however, at this time it is uncontrolled.

ok. first, i would say "both myself and my son, who is also a USC" just to add a little more emphasis.

is it factor V leiden? i have that too. my mom almost died from a pulmonary embolism. i think you should find a medical article, just from mayoclinic.com or something, that describes what a pulmonary embolism is and what effects it can have on the body (like death) just to drive home the seriousness of the condition, and also an article on the contributions of V leiden to the disease, which makes you predisposed to having more clots.

find a medical article about the risks of using blood thinners.

get doctors records/receipts showing your monthly/bi-weekly blood tests.

find a medical article describing the "worst case scenario" of hypertension. they may not read the article, but having it as an exhibit will back up what you are saying. include your medical records dealing with hypertension.

see if you can get your doc to write you a letter briefly outlining your problems and stating that he/she believes that you MUST receive quality medical care here in the US, and the dangers of moving to a country where you might be deprived of medical care.

do you have health insurance here? provide evidence of it, then describe how the costs of your meds/drs visits would be affected without it (like in mexico). i know you said your meds are $80- was that with or without insurance? for example, the meds i take are $35 monthly with my insurance but almost $650 if i did not have it--the actual price is right there on the bottle. also, they come with pamphlets that list side effects and warnings, i am going ot include those too.

ok that's all i can think of for now...
