I was so upset yesterday. I got my cell phone bill and it was for $600!!!! I called immediately and let them know that my son was charged for his text messaging when I had been paying for unlimited. He texted 1300 times. The first guy put me on hold three times for a total of 45 minutes. He tells me, "Well this is what I can do for you, I will set you up with unlimited". NO I had unlimited and they still wanted me to pay. I finally speak to the supervisor and he gives me the same spill. I told him that I only recently took the internet off my son's plan not the unlimited. He told me that I should have known, WHAT??? I was on the phone for over an hour and they wanted me to pay.

I was crying by this point knowing we are leaving in less than 2 weeks for CDJ and spending our entire life savings.

I then get disconnected and call back. This new guy looks at the account, says I have been with them for 7 years, the person canceling the internet should have reconnected us to unlimited and it was their fault, not mine. GOD BLESS THAT MAN NAMED FRANK! He said that they would take it off. I hope they do. What a stressful event.

something similar happend to me with the international calling..I was told that it would be considered mobile to mobile calling my husbands cell phone in mexico and he would not be charged unless he called me...and then I received my bill and it was 1400.00 AHHHH!! I started freaking out cause i called to get my balance on my move right after my husband went to Mexico and we were moving to another state..well I explain my situation and they took off $800 from the bill..Cause i told them you need to find that call and pull it..I was told by 2 different reps I wouldn't be charged..still I was stuck with a huge bill..soo pissed..so I decided phone cards ONLY!!!

Glad they were able to remove it!

OMG $1400, I was crying over $600, wow they really try to sock it to us!!!! I just called to check the bill and it was taken off. If I had not been disconnected and called back to talk to this super duper guy Frank, they would have still tried telling me I owed it. God truly intervened!!!

That is the weird thing, I was on the phone for over an hour with the first guy, getting no where, get disconnected, call back, and the second guy did not put me on hold once and told me in two minutes that it was their mistake. It was like I had called two different companies. I will say that I am so thankful it worked out but with all the stress we are going through, it felt very dramatic for me.

@papi-cinco You probably didn't do this but I've been in some situations with the cell phone companies and I was wondering if you asked that last rep to make sure that he notated the account that it was their fault. I always like to have a name and an i.d./operator number (immediately) when I begin speaking with a rep. There's many times that we get disconnected and/or they don't make a notation on the account that I called in about an issue. Another thing I do is when they are at fault or can't figure something out and discussing it with so many reps, supervisors, other depts., etc. that it ate up too much of my time - I always ask for a credit to my bill of about $10 to $20 depending on the circumstance. I tell them that it has eaten up my time and I want to recompense for it and I always get it.

I am glad that you were able to get things taken care of BUT I rather have a $600 bill than a $5000 (yes, you read that right)!!

How in the world did you ever pay that off. They always want their money in full each month.
