Money orders cashed????

When do you all think they will cash my money orders, i mean USCIS called my lawyer's office to ask them if i had sent the biometrics fee which i did and they eventually saw all of the money orders together with all the paperwork so i was thinking maybe they would have cashed it soon..this happened on the 14th and we sent it on the 7th..:waiting:

Who can tell with them! The check we gave for the I-485 which included the biometrics fee was cashed REALLY fast...and the I-130 check they had that one for two months before they cashed it.

they still have not cashed it yet? dang, thats weird....

when i sent mine in, they cashed it within 2 days! idk why they havent yet with your I-485 yet...i hope they do it soon!!!

Maybe it's my case as it's diffrent from a normal case,i'm in removal proceedings so i just need to send a COPY of the I-485 and once i get the receipt from USCIS I'll file the ORIGINAL I-485 with the immigration court for the Judge to adjudicate on ganting the green card.

caribbeanman, i used a personal check to pay for the $1010 fee... we sent the aos 4/7/08... check cashed 4/17/08 and on that same day we received notice from the national benefits center... 4/21/08 we received a letter from national benefits center for the biometrics appointment which is on may 6

Yeah been doing that but it says not yet cashed..maybe the ending of this week or next week.

yea thats pretty wierd caribeanman i also sent my AOS packet out on the 7th of April and they cashed my money order by the 17th and my BIometrics letter came as well and my appt is on May 6

I found out why my Money orders where taken so long to cash and for me to get a receipt and my biometrics letter check this out!

Now when in removal proceedings you only send a copy of the I-485 to TSC and they will send you a receipt plus your biometrics letter you will then file the ORIGINAL application with the immigration court,when you send the copy to TSC it's not surpose to be signed by the applicant because you do the signing in front of the Judge see Q16 on this page http://www.uscis.gov/files/article/JointQsandAs080806.pdf

Well they sent i back stating it was not signed!!:wha: so i signed it that same evening and Fedex it back to my lawyers how sent it to them Express mail.

Ok i just found out that the Money Orders are cashed.

It was done yesterday do i should be getting my receipt and biometics letter soon. :thumbup:

Ok I'm getting anxious,they cashed my money orders on Monday.Can anyone tell me when i can expect my receipt and biometrics letter?

I was hoping i would have gotten it today but i guess not.

Is it normal to recieve your NoA and biometrics mail indicating when the appointment is at the same time?

I just recieved my NOA yesterday for I-130, I-485 and I-765 documents I sent in but I didnt get anything yet about when the biometrics meeting is for my wife. Should it have came along with the NOA or is it common that I wont see it for a while?

Hi Dianna,

What's next is we wait for the fingerprints to clear,(48hrs when in removal proceedings) the Judge will be informed when that happens.

After he's informed he will then let my lawyer know when the FINAL hearing date is for the GC.


P.S.When in removal proceedings it's approximately 48hrs for FBI fingerprint check and the FBI name check is usually done within 2 weeks for most cases in removal proceedings but may take longer.

Let's hope so...although I'm thinking end of July cuz with USCIS nothing is a given :)
