I was just here wondering if anyone is doing anything exciting/fun this summer?

Well here in Sac.,CA the weather doesn't really feel like summer yet since it's been mid-80's which is really cool for us. I for one, don't have any travel plans as of yet, but as some of you know we usually don't plan our vacations they are mostly spur of the moment.

We don't have any plans this summer, other than getting ready for our appointment this fall. We've been dreaming about next summer though, assuming our waiver is approved:) My husband has never been backpacking, so we're probably going to spend some time doing that.

We go to lots of concerts around the south, and have a couple road trips coming in the next few weeks to shows in Kentucky and Tennesse as well as several MLB games and a cruise in January!:)

Ohcelia,
I didn't know you were from Sacramento too! There isn't much around here that's why we travel alot, even if its down south. I like visiting different places. Since hubby's been back we have been down to San Diego, LA a couple of time, Hawaii and Mexico. I hoping for our next trip to be Las Vegas...but we will have to wait and see.

Marie,
Congratulations on your new home! That's what I would love to do anytime soon!;)

I think it's great to do anything other than work or worry about immigration stuff!

Fun thread. My plans include going to CDJ next week, reuniting with Fermin and sitting outside the Consulate getting a sunburn and meeting people. After we get the visa, we'll drive through New Mexico, stay a day or two in Taos, drive to Colorado Springs and stay somewhere around there, then head back to Wisconsin.

The rest of our summer includes Fermin getting a job or two to pay back all the money he owes his siblings (who are working in the US too) and then planning a trip for next summer or fall to Beijing (where I lived for a year in college). I haven't been back for five years now, and I'm dying to go.

Wow, I can't believe it's practically July already! My only real plans are to visit hubby in lovely (hehe) Nogales once again. This time we are going to drive down to Guaymas, which is on the coast, and hang out at the beach for a day or two. My Mom and daughter are coming so it should be great fun!

And maybe get approved before the end of summer? A girl can dream.....

I don't have much travel plans. My older sister is having a baby in August and will go visit her. I just got back from Mexico in April so I think I am vacationed out for now. I work in the travel industry so you never know they may send me away at the last minute somewhere.

2 Words, THE POLICE! I called in a few favors for some traders and got a couple tickets for two different venues. Other than that, just my usual week in Hilton Head and week in Lake George.

Ah, Lake George.............brings back memories from when I was a very little girl. Camping, gez, I guess that was when I was around 6-8 years old......hmmmmm how many years ago, oh nevermind. :eek1:

Anyway, our usual plans, off to the Cape. We have a home there so we are able to go pretty much whenever we want. We leave tonight until the 10th of July.

Hope to see many many approvals on my return.

Happy summer everyone!

I am going to see my wife in Acapulco. We are having our first child, a boy, in September. That really makes me happy too. Anytime I get to see her and be with her family is the happiest time in my life. My wife's family ( she is Mexican) me American, are really fantastic. They don't know much English and I don't know much Spanish, however we get along fantastic. My wife, however, talks English well.

Have a happy Summer and don't let those immigration fears get to us.

Bamajoey. Thanks for letting me write. It has been very theraputic for me.:bounce:

Ok, so I think I spoke too soon! I was just asked to go to CDJ with my sister and BIL in August! Never say never...I swore I would never go back to that place but my sister wants some companionship while she is over there. It's not for sure yet, until I hear back from my job!

My summer is getting better and better by the week! Hector will be home in 3weeks and shortly after we'll have our second little baby! I already bought some season passes to a cute little "swim pond" in the area (it's a man made, filtered lake... only in America)! We'll just hang out the rest of the summer.. maybe in a few years after we pay all of the debt from this process off we can take a trip somewhere! I'd be happy at home, as long as he can be with me!!

We rented a car and are going to drive to South Dakota the first week of August. My sister is getting married and forcing me to be in her wedding. (just kidding I am more than happy to be in her wedding) .

We are going to drive up on Wednesday (700ish miles) to Mt. Rushmore. Hang out on Thursday and see what we can. Drive 4 hours to Sioux Falls Friday morning to the rehersal dinner, wedding Saturday, home on Sunday, back to work on Monday :(

That's our plan, since hubby still has no greencard or an EAD it all going on the credit card! WooHoo ... 10 grand since he got home in January. :(

We are taking the kids back to Orlando early August and stay at the Nickolodeon Hotel again for 1 week... Kids loved it last year, they did not even want to go to Disneyworld thinking they'd miss something at the hotel.. lol!! Thing is I am so excited to go back as well!! I loved it there bout as much as my kids did, they have soooooooooooooo much for the kids there and have shows and kareoke going on all day and night!
