My 5 yr old son had a project over the spring break, and we did not find the paper until after going back to school yesterday. anyways....

He was to make a boat that could float, and it had to be made from items we already have in the house. HE (my son) was supposed to make this boat with LIMITED help from us.

My husband completly took over the project, and my son was not happy! My son wanted to make his own boat. So he eventually went to his room and without telling daddy he made his OWN boat.

My husband spent all night making this boat, lol. He meticulously cut out the boat base from a laundry soap box, wrapped it in tin foil, hot glued empty soup cans to the bottom (to make mufflers, lmo), and HAND SEWED sails!! He even skillfully drew and painted 2 flags; one American and one Mexican, to place inside the boat, lol.

Well when I found him hand sewing I about had a heart attack. My husbands a VERY macho manly man who WOULD NOT pick up a needle and thread if his life depended on it. So I caught him off guard and got quite a bit of digital pictures when finally he caught me. He said he didn't care that I was going to post them to my "myspace" page, lolll

Later that night when we all wen't to bed I woke up and hubby was not in bed anymore. So I went into the living room and there he was with my digital camera DELETING all my pics. :innocent:

Thought he didn't care about those pics :waiting:

Oh and I forgot the best part. My son did not take that boat to school. He took his boat that HE made! My husband was quite depressed this mornign when he woke up to find his hard work still sitting in the living room:(

Aww. I wanted to see these pictures. That would have been cute. I take pictures of my hubby too. We have a daughter I catch him doing girly things for her. That's kind of sad that your hubby did all that work for nothing, but at least he had fun right?

Yea they didnt ask for his dad to make a boat they asked for him to, if he would have brought his dads it would have been obvious that he had no part, tell your husband to take your son out to float the boat he made

That is soooo funny!!! We dont have any children, but this sounds like something that my husband would do, too. That is too bad that he earased those pictures. That would have been fun to see. Take a pic of his boat and post it on here. That way he doesnt feel to bad about his boat not being displayed.

Well he kind of alrerady partly destroyed it lol. My son is REALLY wild. He's hyperactive so he's a hand full to say the least. He's the type of kid who tears apart stuff with his daddys tools, and at 2 years old he figured out how to jimmy the lock on the fridge with abutter knife. So yeah he keeps me on my toes:)
