Citizen on Parole Marrying

Ive been on parole for about 2 years. Im a USC. Have a girlfriend thats been here on a B2 visa which expired about a year (or maybe almost 2 years) ago. Weve been together for a year and half and want to get married but will my criminal background affect the process? And do i have to wait to get out of parole first?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Your criminal background should not affect the process. You should be able to marry and file for adjustment of status. She shouldn't have to leave the U.S., even if she overstayed.
