I received the biometrics appt for April 17 at 3:00 pm

Got a couple of questions:
How early should I get there?? Should I be there at 2 or earlier??

And in the forms for AOS the lawyer changed my last name to his..... So I dont' have an ID with my that last name and new address. My passport has my old last name and address do you guys think that if I take the marriage license I should be ok?? (But that licence has my "current" address not the one on my passport would that be a problem?)

Ok my other option would be to get a military ID for spouses (my hubby is the marines) but we don't know if I could get one w/o a social, does anyone know if I could get one with only a mexican passport & marriage licence?

Thanks!!!

1) Get there 10-15 minutes early. Once you get there, you'll check in, fill out a form, get a number assigned, and then wait until they call your number. No reason for you to get there any earlier than 10-15 minutes.

2) Someone else can correct me on this if I'm wrong but I don't think that name difference would be a huge issue. Just take your current ID, passport, and the marriage license with you. If the guard at the door asks just explain the situation to them. I can't imagine this being a big deal.

BTW, did you ask the lawyer about the ID/last name issue? What did your lawyer say since he/she is the one who actually filled out the paperwork. I'm not sure why you agreed the allow the lawyer use your husband's last name on the paperwork if you haven't legally changed it. In my opinion, that just makes things more confusing.

Thanks Mrs T.

I'm kinda worried about the ID because I read a post where someone said that when she went to the appt they asked her for an ID with the address that is on the forms.... I don't know why he changed the names I also think it's more confusing he asked me if I was planning on changing my name and I told him that I would once I got my DL I would do it on the DMV but he said that I could begin using my hubbys last name & he changed my name in all the forms....... *sigh* hopefully I can get the military ID so there won't be any confusion on that day......

The address on the fingerprinting appt. does not have to match your ID. All my notices were sent directly to my lawyer's office. So my appt. letter had my lawyer's address on it........they never said anything about it.
