mitigating & aggrivating???

What is mitigating and aggrivating?? Under mitigating it had "Applicant and Petitioner had prior miscarriage(s) that would have been a child in common" I just recently had a miscarriage with my fiance...would this help me or is this a bad thing??

Depending on where you found it is how it will specifically pertain to your case.

Mitigating factors would be factors that are supposed to "lessen" the load of something or be taken into consideration when deciding something.
