on the instruction under number 8 it says as a spouse I only need to submit items listed in 1, 2, 4 and to skip Item 3. I think I am looking in the wrong place, but there are no more items 1, 2, 3, and 4. Everything is under letters not numbers
#1 is proof of the broker I used to find my husband. I don't need this.
#2 talks about filing limitations
#3 Proof of my US Citizenship...What they don't want this???
#4 Items when a doc is not available.

Talk about being confused! I thought it was just me for a moment there. I'm glad you're in the same boat.

With the new social security thing we might so that we can speed things up. My hubby's boss told him that he should be prepared because they will have to follow the new law. So he will lose him job anywhere from 30 - 90 days .

Yeah so my husband thinks it is worth it to send in the I-129F and speed things up. I really liked the whole waiting a year and a half, but we have to do what we have to do. I am so not ready to go to CDJ....I feel rushed now.

I know. I still havent made my mind up on how I am going to file yet. I finally got a job and it starts Monday! Not the best, but it's a job. So we can't start paying all our past due bills and then start saving to file the first application. We aren't married yet and so you could still go the fiance route, but that would worry me that they would be thinking why havent we got married yet if we've been living as a couple for 4 years. So I'm thinking we will go the I-130 route. The real reason we have waited so long is because we wanted to have a real wedding and not just get married in the courthouse. I guess we will have to make some sacrifices. I guess with immigration we should expect to make many sacrifices.
Wow sorry, I just totally hijacked your thread. LOL

We are seriously considering the same to speed things up for the same reasoning as Angela256. My son-in-law says that he is prepared to go back and it doesn't matter when. I don't know if we will save any time at all since we are going through Guatemala but I guess it's worth a shot.
I am going to start filling out the papers tomorrow and I might need some help in answering some of the questions. I filed the I-130 today so I should get the receipt notice soon. From everything that I have read on the websites, it will be a lot faster and I better start working on the HIL NOW.

LaChula - You can start with the I-129F, but if you do you can not get married until they give him the visa. If you get married you can file the I-130 and the I-129F to speed things up. That is what I am doing.
