To Whoum It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in support of the I-601 petition that I have file for my wife xxxxx. The thought that there is a chance my wifes waiver will not be approwed makes my feel overwhelmed with fear and emotions. Relocation to Poland would cause me and our daughter xxxxxxx extreme and severe hardships. Lack of employment and educational opportunities, bad health care, economic issues and future plans for extending of our family. These extreme hartships make it essential that my wife join me in the United States as soon as possible.

1.
The first and the most important reason why I need my wife here with me is our daughter xxxx. She is 7 years old and she need's bouth of her parents.
xxxx is currently in Poland with xxxx awaiting this waiver. It is impossible for me to take care for our daughter by my self because I work 10-12 hour days.
I start work as early as 5;30Am and sometimes stay at workas late as 9;00Pm and there is no child care available that late. Our daughter suffers from severe allergies and astma like sympthoms and I fear that medical condition will worsen while in Poland. My wife and I want the best health care for our child and we belive that our doughter will get much better health care in the United States. It is very important that children have regular checkups and get proper immunizations.
xxxxx is in first grade of xxxxx Elementary School in xxxxx and she's exellent reader whose fluency is excellent. She love's school but as good as she is in english she can't speak, read or write in polish. It would be extreme hartship for xxxxx and me if she could not attend school in United States, because she would be far behind children her age that are fluent in polish. I'm scared that it would effect her emotional state of mind, cause problems with her education and transform her from happy self cofident bundle of joy into shy and depressed child.
xxx never been in Poland before, never been away from me a single day, so she's really worried about me being alone, she will miss her grandma, aunts and uncels, her friends, teachers, and her cat.

2.
I am the sole provider for our family, witch from financial perspective meets all of our needs and supports our young daughter. I work for xxxxxx Electrical Contractors. I have been at xxxxx since 2006 and work as a Foreman Electrician and I run a multiple large jobs for my company like f.e. CVS . My salary is......a year plus bouses. It would be impossible for me to relocate to Poland and work in my field /grade level/. I have E2 Electrical License for State of Connecticut, I'm in process of geting E1 Electrical Contractor licens , I would not be able to transfer my Electrical License, because Poland have different power requirements witch are not familiar to me. Not only it would be very difficult to find a job in Poland but if we were live in Poland for years it would be hard to find an equivalent job upon my return to United States as the construction industry changes quickly.
Living in Poland I would also be case to putting away money for retirement both in the form of Social Security and in the form of a 401k. Losing this income for retirement will affect our family for years to come.
My campany provides medical, dental and vision coverage for our family. If I were to move to Poland we would need to pay for private insurance. Uninsured American citizen who require medical care abroad can face extreme difficulies. This could subject me to extreme financial difficulties.

The travel expenses that are needed for us to see each other are a burden as airplaine tickets from New York City to Poland cost beetwen $800-$1200. If I was force to live in Poland and live on wages in Poland witch is aroud ------/mth, I would not affort to visit my family in U.S.

My financial status is encumber some, with a outstanding mortgage of $xxxxx, and outstanding car loan of $xxxx, and credit card dets of..$......
It would be impossible for me to relocate to Poland and cover my dept. This would have adverse affect on my credit history, and my reputation as an accauntable, responsible citizen.

Unemployment in Poland is on very high rate. Look on Internet maybe you can find something and %. Many people are leaving Poland and going to work in Germany and England. Go to polish webside and find something about crime. It is high right now. I will think what else will help you. Don't be too emotional, facts, facts and evidence is important. Do you have something? Letters from family, friends, employer and church.

I think you have some good staff and hardships.
I am assuming that it is just a first version of your waiver.

1. “The thought that there is a chance my wifes waiver will not be approwed makes my feel overwhelmed with fear and emotions.” You should not say “if wife is not admitted”. You need to make it sound that it is NOT an option for you. You need to use stronger words, like “an extreme unusual hardship”, “devastated”, “heart broken”, “excruciating”, “agonizing”, “severe”,…… So in short, use the strongest synonyms of the words. Oh yes, “approwed” change to “approved” ( do not worry, I am a horrible speller myself).

2. Your hardships: “Lack of employment and educational opportunities, bad health care, economic issues and future plans for extending of our family” you need to put them from the strongest to the weakest. Also, you need to add medical hardship ( your daughter’s).

3. Instead of making your daughter hardship separate group, you might want to do subtitles “Medical hardship”, “economical hardship”, “social hardship” and fill it with the facts. So, “Financial hardship” will be – you work extended hours ( do not forget letter from your employer supporting your words as well as copy of the pay stub where it said how many hours per week your worked), kinder gardens in your area work from-to ( try to have a printout from the Internet), so X hours your daughter will have to be with the babysitter and it would cost $X per hour. So totally per week it would be $XX ( kinder garden + babysitter) and you brining home $XX after taxes so it would leave only $XX for living and it is impossible to survive….. I hope you understand what I mean. Instead of just saying that you can not afford to support this lifestyle, you have at least 3-4 evidences proving you words and ALL of them come from other sources but you ( and INS loves evidences).

4. “Our daughter suffers from severe allergies and astma like sympthoms and I fear that medical condition will worsen while in Poland” - this have to go to the “Medical hardhip” paragraph. “Astma” should be spelled “asthma”. Then you have to have a doctor’s notes on that. So, it should look something like this: “Our daughter suffers from severe allergies and asthma (see exhibit XXX, letter from DR. XXXX and copies of test results). As her doctor stated: “patients with the asthma and severe allergies might have their conditions worsened if they go to the different climate…..” Also I would suggest you to do a research on the internet on that subject and add it to your claims. Plus you might want to specify allergy on what your child has. If they ( allergies) are really sever- is she under any medication, then you can say that it would be impossible to get that medication in Poland, you would not have an insurance that you do from your job ( and you can add all this to the financial hardship as well since it would be money out of your pocket). Then you would say that “it would be a sever unusual hardship to my daughter if she has to go and stay for the extended period of time in Poland as well as myself since the worst suffering in the world for the parent is suffering of its child”…..
5. You have mentioned that your child with your wife are in Poland now. Did any of her conditions worsened?
6. “It is very important that children have regular checkups and get proper immunizations.” – go to the health sites and print out where they say about it, add it as an evidence to the waiver. So, instead of you saying it it would be: “According to the Professor XXX, “It is very important that children have regular checkups and get proper immunizations” (see exhibit XXXX, article from the WWW.xxxxxxx.xx site )
7. “xxxxx is in first grade of xxxxx Elementary School in xxxxx and she's exellent reader whose fluency is excellent”. Let’s re-write it: “xxxxx is in first grade of xxxxx Elementary School (see report card from the school, exhibit) in xxxxx and she's exellent reader whose fluency is excellent ( see XXX teacher Mrs. XXX letter , exhibit XXX).

All statements and facts that you put in the waiver have to be straitened and proofed by the evidence. Even thought if it is a letter from your relative or neighbor saying that you have been depressed lately. It would be someone besides you that sees it and that would be count. Of cause, if you have a doctor note stating that you having a depression and it is linked to your family problems – that is great and of cause it would weight more then letter from your neighbor. But I believe that every paper is count.

I think that you have lots of valid hardship. Try work a little bit more on your letter, give us some facts so it would be easier to give you more specific answers.

Good luck!

P.S. I am really sorry, I did not have time to go over all letter, I will try to do it shortly.

I used a lawyer, and my HSL has not been approved, but one part that was also put in the HSL was the affect of future employment if you should reside in Poland until after the ban. For example, if your electrical license calls for continued education to keep the license current, you would be unable to do so if you are in a foreign country. Additionally, not being employed would make reentry difficult when you are allowed to move back to the US.

Just a thought - good luck!
