Since my waiver was submitted I have developed an additional medical problem (a complication directly related to the medical problem already documented in detail in the application). I have a deep wound (down to bone) and because of its location I can't sit for long periods. It was infected and I was in the hospital for 8 days. I'm continuing to work because I can use a computer while in bed. But I need to see the doctor once a week and have nurses come to change a bandage 3 times a week. It needs to be done more frequently but home care nurses can't come more frequently. It's expected to take at least 6 months to heal. Do you think I should submit documentation of this to the USCIS office - they already have the application and will probably review it and make a decision in a month or two. I don't want to overwhelm them as they already have 300 pages of stuff. But now not only would it be even more extreme hardship to relocate (and in fact, I can't even do it at the moment as I can't sit in an airplane seat for 12 hours), but now I really do need my fiance's help here (I did not make that argument in the application, I only focused on how it would be hard for me to go there). Do you think I should send this additional information? I have all hospital records and can get a doctor's letter.

Hi Shannon...I was wondering about you. Sorry about your health problem and I hope you're feeling better day after day. And of course, this is an additional extreme hardship for you. I would send additional info via express mail to Bangkok. I think nothing to lose. If they're reviewing your case, they still have a couple more weeks to do it. God Bless

thanks... I am going to send it in. My doctor wrote a letter but he didn't put in the part I wanted about needing my fiance's help here.. I think I will ask the nurse to write something about that because she understands the situation better. I think the doctor thought I just needed him to say I can't travel now.. it's difficult to explain waivers and proving hardship in a 2 minute conversation (I wrote it all down for him but I suspect he didn't read it thoroughly).
