after you apply for your waiver does the consulate sends you a letter saying they got your package? because I seen some cases after two weeks they get email or letter saying they got their package. I did not receive any notice and its been more than four months I been waiting.

As far as I know from personal experience, the consulate does not notify you when your waiver is sent to DHS, and DHS does not let you know when it is recieved. You can call the consulate and they will tell you when it was sent, but if you want to know if DHS has recieved it, you have to call them. And in Lima, it may not be a good idea to make too many inquiries on your case.

I don't think that email will annoy them, it seems to be the phone calls that they don't like. I have no idea how long they will take to answer an email, I never emailed Lima.

I have to agree with Shrek. But, we never had an email address for Lima...and we never called them. Lima called our lawyer one time. Our congressman friend's office inquired about out waiver and that is how we found out anything. But we finally learned about the approval from Rio. Our DIL called them about every week to check and they told her about it when she called.
Our lawyer told us to absolutely not call Lima.
We sent our entire waiver package to Lima outselves because Rio would only take the waiver form and nothing else. Also Rio told us that they had sent the waiver to Lima twice before they actually did sent it. They were holding it for one paper that they never told us that they needed. We found this out through the congressman's office and because of this, they had to go to the consulate in Rio again. The only way we knew that Lima had it was because we sent it.
