I have husband’s citizenship certificate but not his birth certificate. Does anybody know if they ask for both at the 1st appt.? Thanks.

Ischia, I would take everything because you never know with NVC and CDJ, if you miss any paper they will r/s your appt, just be prepared and take everything for your 1st appt, you don't want to take that risk.

The problem is that my husband was born in Italy and he doesn't have any relatives there any more. I don't know if we can request one from here.

Okay, good luck! I always want to take an extra original copy because they might ask for it.

Are you a USC by birth or naturalization?
I wish it could be fine with the citizenship certificate only. NVC didn’t ask for his birth certificate.
