El Salvador is DRAAAAAging along in sending my husband's police certificate to the Salvadoran Consulate in Chicago for the DS-230 packet!:waiting: We have been waiting almost 2 months now for this document to send in with the DS-230, BUT I was wondering about how will this affect scheduling my husband's interview??? I have been told that El Salvador schedules appointments in June/July, but does scheduling his appointment have anything to do with sending in the DS-230 FIRST? I'm a little confused about the order, schedule appointment and send in DS-230 or vice versa? Thanks for any clarification and input! I always appreciate your feedback!

First you send the DS-230 packet to NVC. It will take a while for NVC to complete your case and it takes a while for the Consulate to schedule an appointment. We went through Guatemala it took about 5 months to get the appointment, but maybe El Salvador is much quicker.

I don't understand why El Salvador is sending the police certificate to the Chicago consulate. Can you explain?

:wave:Hey, Paige. We had the Consulate in El Salvador send my husband's police certificate to the Salvadoran Consulate in Chicago because he is still in the US and he had to obtain one in order for the process to continue with the DS-230 packet. To be honest with you, I'm a little unsure as to what happens next, but based on what some have said on I2US his case will then be sent to the Consulate in El Salvador. Then we can make the appointment?:confused1: Oh, yeah, are you having a boy or a girl? I'm so excited for you!:yay2:
