Just wanted to let everyone know that we finalized everything for my son-in-law's I-130 today and if it wasn't for this group here on immigrate2us, we would probably still be sitting back and waiting for some unknown law to pass.

We have been scared for 2 years and after reading these posts, we are going for it. He is prepared to go home when he needs to for numerous reasons -- he wants to see his mom and dad, they have saved enough money so that they will not lose their home, they have been married for 2 years so they are well prepared for the absence away from each other.

In any event, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone because without you, I wouldn't have been able to convince him to do it. And also, I would still be scared out of my mind in letting him do it.

And let me tell everybody something -- if I win the lottery, I will personally buy each one of you and your families a one-way ticket and we will spend the rest of our lives on an isolated island somewhere where there are no immigration laws keeping us apart.

That's GREAT news. Best of luck!

Yay!! Welcome to our unofficial 'waiting club'!!

P.S. ... I kinda like the isolated island idea....sounds relaxing - and I know we could all stand to relax a little after this process is done and over with!!
