i called my lawyer and told his receptionist (since he's never there) that i did not want his services anymore......now do i need a letter or a form signed by him....like a release?? or do i just leave things as they are? :dunno:

do you have a debt with him? if nothing has been filed...I don't see why you would need anything...but that is just me.

Just in case, you might want to file a change of agent form so that the attorney is not longer listed as representing you.

Your lawyer has a legal responsibility to send a letter to NVC stating that you have requested that they no longer represent you as well as forwarding all of your paper work back to NVC. I also emailed though included all of our information and stated that I was requesting a change of agent from our lawyer to myself. Ended up getting paperwork indicating that they had processed both of these requests, so either would work. However, since you just talked to the receptionist, I would email for sure to make certain that the lawyer is removed from your case.
