Today my hubby went to his waiver appt and was told that his waiver was approved :yay2:, but that he and a whole other bunch of people in the group he was in needs to go back tommorrow 4/1/08 to the Visa Department to finish up. Now they kept his paperwork and his passport.
What I would like to know "What exactly does this mean?" I feel as though this is a great sign and I am still praying and keeping my fingers crossed that all will go well in the AM for him and the others he was with.

I saw in another post today that another couple was approved and I am just wondering if this is the process that all approved waivers go thru?

I am looking forward to reading the responces.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! If they told him that he was approved but kept his passport, then that just means it got too late for them to issue his visa today. This happens all the time to people that have their waiver appointments later in the day. He'll just need to go back in the morning and they'll give him his passport with his visa in it. Don't worry....this will all be done tomorrow. :thumbup:

I am so estatic right now!!! Rosa did this same scenerio happen to you also? I want to hear so bad the words from my hubby's mouth tomorrow that he is ready to come home. I think I am still in shock but very, very happy. Really this will all be done tomorrow???????????? I know you said it already but it seems so surreal.

No, my husband didn't have to go back the next day because his waiver appointment was at 7:30 in the morning. And even with him having such an early appointment, he still didn't get out of there until 4:30pm. The same day my husband had his appointment, another member's husband had his appointment some time around 1:30. We were staying at the same hotel and of course I was going crazy waiting for my husband to come back and tell me whether he was approved or not. Well, around 3:30 I saw the couple we knew and they told me that he had been approved. I started freaking out because I knew my husband had his appointment WAY earlier than the other guy and he hadn't even come back yet. Well, later I found out that he came back so fast because they told him to come back the next day to pick up his passport with the visa. My husband was able to get his visa the same day because his appointment was so early.

I have heard of lots of other people having to go back the next day to pick it up. It's not a big deal at all. It's just the way they do things there. By the time your husband's waiver was approved, it was too late to issue his visa...so they have him come get it the next day. So don't worry....your nightmare is over. :yay2:

I am not in MX with my hubby, Lord knows I really wanted to be. Someone had to hold the fort here at home. I was very tempted to go and surprise him but I stayed here hoping and Praying and keeping all of our loved ones' informed.

I should have been celebrating since this afternoon when my hubby told me that his waiver was apporved, but when he mentioned he had to report back in the AM we were both still feeling nervous and scared. Tonight I will sleep like a baby for the first time in a long time.

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything went perfect today for my hubby and I am PROUND TO ANNOUCE MY HUSBAND IS ON A PLANE TO SAN DIEGO TO VISIT WITH HIS SISTERS THAT HE HAS NOT SEEN IN @ 5 YEARS!!!!!! I am so HAPPY AND GRATEFUL AND FULL OF EMOTION. My nightmare is over!!!Praise GOD! My hubby will be coming to OUR home in Seattle on Friday and I can't wait. The phone has been ringing off the hook, visitors coming by and his boss can't wait to see him on Monday.
