I was wondering if you have to have passports to go to mex? We will be driving?

I heard the same thing, too. There is also the passport card, which is for people that travel by land only. Here is the link (http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html)

For me and my kids the usc? so as of right now its not required if traveling by car?

right! YOU just need BC and ID for the kids if they have one from their school, by sister's are the lony ones that don't have passport and everytime they go to TJ they just show their BC and school ID.
