Hello ladies,

i was going through all the papers that we received form the NVC. since our first CDJ interview was for april of 07 its been almost a year. Well back then when i received the NVC packet the visa fee was for $380 and i paid for it using a money order, i have copies of everything... what i am wondering now is if we have to pay the NEW fee of $400 or do we just pay the difference? im not sure what to do..our appt is in may and im thinking i will give my hubby the copies of the payment for $380 we made to see if they will let him pay the $20dll difference.. huh soo confusing... will it also be a problem to submit a new DS 230 form that our New lawyer prepared with the correct address/info? im worried that CDJ will go by the old DS-230 that the "notario" filled out for us and it has some mistakes... Thanks ANY advice is helpfull im completly stressing out.... the packet we just received from CDJ with the interview letter has the blank forms to complete...so it might be ok but not sure...i hope they dont go by the old ones!!!
** it is stressing because the "notario" we had made ALOT of mistakes on our forms and i dont know what CDJ has from 2005,2006,2007 which is the time helped us!!!!
my new lawyer said it should not be a problem to submit the new forms...but im not sure :waiting:

my advice...have hubby take the receipt as proof of payment. They might not charge you anything, or at least the difference. And, have him take the new form and make sure he brings it up and gives them the new form. We submitted a corrected form as well with no issue. My husband just explained why the new form was different (also shady lawyer sent in bed info trying to hide an entry that was not an issue)

Thanks Chapital,

I know the notario was shady.. he said he was a lawyer at first and after so many mistakes i fired him..then i found out he was a notario and not a lawyer so i am filing a claim against him....
so you dont think they will question a lot about it? hubby is worried about how to bring up the catch and release to the IO do you guys know how to say attempted entry in spanish? i try but it doesnt sound right.. he wants to make it clear he did not enter..but dont know how to word it properly

You don't have to pay it again, once you paid the first time that's it. Make sure that you have the receipt with you.
I called NVC because I almost had a similar issue and a nice lady at NVC told me that I didn't have to pay.

Hope this helps, good luck.

i don't think it would be fair to have to pay .

I hope we dont have to pay it again.... since the appointment was unexpected we didnt have time to save enough $$. :(

so no one has had problems submitting a corrected ds-230? thanks

remind me what the ds-230 is....we submitted a new form for the document that lists where the applicant lived, when they entered the US, etc (that might be the ds-230)...again, with no issues
