hello to everyone,
my husband went to his appointment in CDJ on 3/27 and it turns out that they backlogged him for lack of HS, and to check DHS files. He doesnt have a criminal record but he was deported and we submitted an I-212 as well. They checked the boxes above and told him that since the DHS and FBI are linked, that something shows up (deportation finger prints) but they want to investigae it further to make sure its not anything else.
In regards to the LACK of EXtreme HS, i was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out a little. As you know i now have a little less than 30 days to submit more evidence and i wanted to know your opinion. I am 20, dont have major medical issues, one other medical thing i can think about is depression ever since it started in 1/06 and i'm not currently working because of the instability in my life, i have to constantly travel back and forth from TJ to Fresno and even though i have a job offer i cant take it because they need me to work their full time. Also i reall want to go to school but i know i cant afford it and if i were to get a grant then i need to be a CA resident and i cant if i have to live in TJ. What do you guys think? Any ideas on how to prove more HS.? Any suggestion are truly welcome.
Thanks
Adi & Israel

The opportunity to attend school was one of only two hardships that I used, and we were approved with that. Definitely look into it! Laurel did our packet, so maybe you could consult with her and get some ideas. She is great at helping you find hardships that you didn't even know you had. I'm sorry you were backlogged. We're here to help however we can.

So sorry to hear that kanklet. You do have more than 30 days though submit more evidence. I think you can make strong enouch arguments, just remember that evidence is the key to making an argument. Without evidence, the argument in your letter doesn't matter.
She actually did post her HSL in the HSL review section, but I don't think very many people saw it there and gave feedback.

Sorry to hear about this. When was his 1st interview (for the visa) in CDJ?
It would be good if you could post the HSL you submitted, as Dorothea suggested, and then we can look over what could be strengthened.

I know that it is very hard in the beginning but you will get through it. We are all in the same situation. Please let any of us know if you need anything.
Take care and best wishes during this difficult separation.

Wow, I am sorry to hear this. I echo what everyone else suggested. Please post your HSL so that we could look at the different arguments you use and see what could be strengthened. Also, let us know what evidence you used.

hi everyone,
thank yo for your encouragement and i dont plan to give up. i posted my HSL on the HSL review sticky and i would appreciate feed back. As to my evidence i didnt really know what i could or couldnt use as evidence. Mostly it was my medical records, information on subjects that i wrote about, info off internet sites. what could i use as evidence for school? i was thinking getting my old high school teachers and couselors to write letters for me, and my plans, my academic performance and how this situation is interfering with my future. What do yu guys think? Seriously anything.

I'll try to post my HSL in the next few days, so you can see how I addressed the education issue. In the meantime, maybe you could start the process of applying to schools, to demonstrate that you are serious about it, and use that as evidence. Consider, like you said, getting letters from former teachers/counselors who can speak to your potential and your goals. I did use some letters like that as evidence. I also got two letters from former classmates who could speak to my academic goals.
