I just wanted to mention that lately there have been a lot of killings in Juarez. They are drug related of course, but I am so worried. Some of the streets where the shootings have taken place are close to where my Mom is staying. I am so afraid that it'll get to the point that I can't visit her. I worry about taking my kids over there as well. Recently the Mexican government sent 2000 troops to patrol the streets in Juarez. Now tell me isn't that a war? I wish Mexico would get it together already, the drug lords seem to rule that country.

This was discussed in another thread about a killing at a motel. What really concerns me is having to take cash money to the Consulate or credit card in their name. For years we're advised to not carry cash.

Nineten, that was my concern on the last thread. That is why I had the thought of bringing all the important documents as well and keeping them close to us. I do not like the idea that they have to use cash at the medical apt. I do not want my husband to get there too early.
