No were not backlogged that I know of, but.....

The reason for my post is....how do you KNOW your backlogged with your waiver?

There is no tracking for it in Guatemala, I asked the embassy and they said DHS will let you know in time.

Is the backlog thing only in mexico? Enquiring minds want to know?

Mexico is currently the only county with the Pilot Program and expedited waiver approval. If your not immediately approvable, your case goes into the backlog. Everywhere else, you just sit and wait.....

Yes, the backlog thing is only for Mexico because they have the Pilot Program where waivers can be approved the same day they're submitted. When they're not approved, they go into Backlog, which is the exact same thing everybody goes through for all other countries when they submit a waiver.

Mexico is the only place that has the pilot program in place where you can receive approval on the same day that you file your waiver. If it is not clearly approvable in about 15 minutes or you have some other complications, then your waiver is placed in what has become known as the backlog. It merely means that your waiver is not approvable on the day that it was filed and it will get in line behind others that have been filed before yours that were not clearly approvable.

No announcements have been made that the pilot program will be instituted in any other consulate at this time.

Sorry, it looks like everyone else was quicker than me. Time to go to bed. LOL

Yeah I know, I am feeling confident though. I just hope I did the waiver right.
