Basically - if they believed the relationship to be fraudulent or you lied on the forms.
It is VERY VERY rare that one gets denied.
Yes, it's very rare to have a I-130 or I-130 denied.
Next, don't worry about the fake SS right now. You will resolve the problem later when your fiance is back.

:ditto:. It is very rare for the I130 to be denied unless it was found to be based on fraud. Dont worry. :D

If you meet the requirements of the I-129F for a fiance -- that you two have met in person in the prior two years, that you are both free to marry, and that the petitioner is a USC and therefore has the right to file the petition -- you will be approved.

what are good things to use as proof besides pictures? we used to live together in a apartment but the lease was in my name, being he had no credit (or probably bad credit from owed child support). we don't have anything with both of our names on it. i know i can have my mom write a letter too and we have cards from our engagement, but how can that be real proof?? what else can be used??

I am in a similar situation, we are living in different countries and do not have any joint stuff yet. I got a notirized affidavit from third party ( my mom) who has a personal knowledge about ongoing relationship.

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:
Use as many of these items are possible. There is no minimum,
but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE.
1.Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file.
2.Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a company such as kodakgallery.com (http://www.kodakgallery.com/). You can also make duplicates of photo's at your local photo store (Walgreeens, CVS, etc). Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back.
3.The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

Hey jolantarenee and Heather:
You could use mail that is addressed to both of you, loved letters, for sure use affidavits.
Do you have a bill under your name and does he have the other under his? You could use those since you are proving that you both live at that mailing address.
Also, you could probably get your landlord to write an affidavit for you attesting to the fact that you both lived in the property together and for what left of time. A friend of mine from Minnesota did this. They were not on the lease together and she has a solid relationship with the landlord and they were willing to write an affidavit stating that. If this is not possible, maybe you could have a neighbor that you have a relationship with.

Remember that for K1 I-129F filing, it's only about proving you have physcially met in person in the past two years -- the ongoing relationship stuff does not come into play until the interview, if at all. So anything you have to show you've met, i.e. travel related receipts, will suffice. Photos are considered secondary evidence but do help place you together - be sure to write both names on the back, the date, and the place.
