Today I just started preparing for the paper. I read the website http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/forum/adjustment-of-status.php#aosforms, it's very good. I have a good pics of what I need to do soon.

I have a few questions for you guys,

1, Should I change my last name after marriage, does that effect the approval? Since I want to send out the application the next day of our marriage, so if you think chaning last name will help, then I might wait until I get my name changed.

2, The fee for I-485 and biometric is $1010, I know that include I-765 and I-131, but since I'm filing along with I-130, do I need to pay extra $355?

3, Just to confirm that as long as my future husband earned $17,500 per year shown in the last IRS return, it is enough?

4, I-693, Can I do it with any Physician? Since I can't find some list of the appointed Physician. Physician has to complete 4 identical copies? That's alot!

5, Just to comfirm, that G-325 has to filled by me and my future husband, right?

6, Since I filed I-130 and I-485 together, so if they require G-325 in both part, do I just send one set (4 copies), or do I need to send two sets for each part?

7, Where my future husband obtain Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript?

I know I have alot of questions, thank in advance for helping. This website really helps me alot.

First off, are you adjusting from another visa type? Have you consulted with an attorney to be sure you are clear on any potential issues?

Changing your name has no bearing.

Poverty guidelines here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1327.html
Usually much more than one year of tax returns is required to prove financial support.

Tax transcripts can be ordered directly with the Internal Revenue Service - just give them a call using the automated number. http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=110571,00.html

For the medical supplement you are required to see a US Civil Surgeon. Don't be concerned about what forms they have to file -- they know what to do and will give you a sealed envelope. US Civil Surgeons: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

Four identical pages of the G-325A for each of you. Follow the part of the guide that indicates filing I-130 concurrently.

Pay the fees associated with each form.

good luck

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it. I'm adjusting from F1 visa. My status is always lawful, do I still need to consult an attoney? I was thinking using attorney to do all my paperwork, and I thought it would be faster. However, alot of my friends said it will be the same. So I think I should just do it by myself and save a few bucks.

In your opinion, is it better to let attorney to do all the paperwork?

It makes no difference in speed if you use an attorney. It's just that a consult will help you to be clear on any potential issues i.e. does your F1 have a return home for two years requirement? If so, this is the kind of thing you would rather understand upfront. Otherwise, if you are comfortable with the paperwork (and continue to read the guides and ask questions) you should be totally fine without an attorney.

F1 has no return home for 2 years requirement, as far as I know, J1 has this requirement.

I carefully read the websites you provided, I gain alot insight of the things I gotta do. I have one quick question, we are going to move in July, since lease is ending, will changing address usually delay the process? If so, i might should consider applying after we move.

Thank you so much!

See, that's a good sign that you know the two year requirement does not apply to you! Changing addresses does often result in problems - it seems to be something USCIS has not learned how to handle. So if you don't mind waiting until after you move, it would be a good idea. If you do move after filing, file the AR-11 for the address change and make sure you arrange with the post office to forward mail. Good luck!
