I'm new, been reading a lot of great info on this site for a while. Just called and found out my hubby's interview is Oct. 3 in CDJ. Finally!:bounce:

Thank you. Hubby's been in Mexico since Feb 2005 waiting for this, feels like forever. I'm working on my letter now. Lots of stress, want to be hopeful....but I'm terrified.

wow have you guys been separated for that long?? how have you managed?

Yes we have. I've only gotten to see him twice. It has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through....lots of tears.

we have only been separated 6 months and it has been extremely hard and like you there have been lots of tears shed.

Waiting years: I am so sorry you have been separated for so long. Do you want to share with us why it has been so long. A lot of other people haven't waited this long. I am sorry for you.

We had complications with our local immigration office. They lost my request for action on my I-130 form(I-824? can't remember #). I waited because they said it would take several months to hear something back and I had already recieved my reciept that they had recieved the form. When I finally called to check they told me I had never filed it, I corrected them by saying I had a reciept with the date they had recieved it. I had to go in and file a new form and wait again, then they finally found my original one and apologized but we lost so much time. On top of that they then sent our paperwork directly to the consulate instead if the NVC which created more problems because when NVC finally got our paperwork we ended up with 2 case numbers. I feel like I'm jinxed. Can't wait to see what happens at my husbands interview.
