Hi everyone. Back in 1999 I was on J1 visa and before it's expiration I applied for B visa, I got a notice a receipt, and if I remember well, I got a letter asking to prove that I have a residence back in my country and smth else, I can't remember, it was long ago. Well, I never submited these papers, I got my permanent residence papers for Canada and left in 2001. Does anyone has an idea how much time they give to submit requested doc for B visa and if you end up not following through with it when does illegal presence begins. I heard it's 120 days after request for doc, but really it may not be the true fact.I would appreciate your help.
