Is there a certain time? LIke I check everyday for my case. Is that a waste of time? Do they only update the automated system every once in a while, like once a week?

NVC told me that they update their automated system on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I had heard that it was Tuesday and then that it was Saturday so I called to verify.
Although some have posted that their message is updated on other days.

I have always checked our case first thing Tuesday and it has been updated then. I was told by NVC that they update their recordings on Monday night to reflect the paperwork that was generated out on Saturday.
However, I was fooled this morning. I checked our case earlier this week on Tuesday and same message. This morning, Friday morning, I called just out of curiousity and guess what, they updated their recording. So beats me who's right. Once again, against all odds.

Tasks: Don't worry. Keep checking. Your I-130 was also approved I bet. The USCIS website has been down all evening.

There are certain days that certain messages get updated. I did read this on the VJ site (in either NVC time savers or the JSC threads), but the only one that sticks out in my mind right now is that the choice of agent/AOS fee bill gets updated Monday night, with new messages Tuesday mornings.
As for when NVC receives your case though - I think that can be any day. I found ours out on a Thursday.

Task now that I see my I-130 says something different and that it is being forwarded to NVC I might not have to fight. You will have to tell me what your I-130 says when you get it. Mine did say that the I-130 was being sent to NVC.

I am not sure. Yes both of them state that they are being transferred to NVC. Which now that I see that J's says something different I am assuming mine should have said that to process a K3. I called NVC and they said most likely both petitions will end up at NVC, but that I will have to wait a little longer for them to add it into the system....of course we have all been told one thing and it turns out to be another so I still may be fighting for it.
