does anybody have any information how much time they take to process I-601 and I-212 in Moscow and what and what they consider as an extreme hardship?
Thanks

Moscow has been taking only a couple of months to adjudicate waivers lately. With several recent denials it seems as if they have become very hard to please in terms of hardships.

Moscow got my I-601 on October 23, 2007. I'm still waiting for their decision. It takes about a month for them to ajudicate your waiver, but in some cases they need first to get all requested docs from the US (like in my case) and it can last very long.

WOW, Moscow speed up a process. 2 years ago it was taking almost a year to do so. That is great.

Adjudicate just means when they read and make a decision on your waiver...Good luck!

I filed a waiver after I got 10-years ban. Two weeks later I got a phone call from the Embassy and lady told me that they made a mistake and I have 3-years ban enstead of 10-years. So, I had to go back to the Embassy and make corrections in my waiver form.
It have been almost 7 months since Moscow got my waiver. They say they are waiting for my biometrics and fingerprints now.

It looks like Moscow is taking about 2 months but we haven't seen many approvals yet. So, good luck to everyone!

They took my fingerprints at the Embassy when I had my interview.
The waiver for 3 and 10 years bans is the same. I just wrote in a Form I-601 "Overstay for more then 365 days" and had to change it for "less then 365 days" ans also I needed to make some changes in a Hardship letter.

Hi, I'm from Belarus and we're only now going to submit our I-130. I have a 3 year ban (left USA before a year, my own decision, no criminal records). I know that Belarus is assigned to Warsaw, but I've read here that some waivers are done in Moscow. Maybe I misunderstood. Does anyone have any information about it? Also, I am wondering what happens after you get denied at the interview? You apply for the waiver right there, or send in the paperwork? And then assuming the waiver is approved, do you have to come back to the embassy for a second interview, or what?
Thanks for any information!

I filed a waiver I-601 after my interview in Kiev, and they sent it to Moscow.

Lika,

Do they let you file the waiver the same day as your interview in Kiev?

Do they let your spouse into the embassy for the interview?

Yes, they let me to filed a waiver right after the interview.
I was there without my husband, and I didn't even ask them if he could be there with me.

At my wifes first visa interview in Kiev I was not allowed to attend. At the second visa interview I was allowed in. The first time we were allowed to submit our 601 waiver. The second time the officer was unsure and had to double check my wifes unlawful presence so we submitted the 601 almost 2 months later after UP was confirmed. So it appears it depends on the officer who is working that day.

Officer did not let me to submitte my waiver right after interview but that was different place where Iwas supposed to take it to. However I had to make another appointment to get to embassy so I could pay for my waiver(they have a cashier in there) and when take it to a different ofice which was around the coner and there is just a box for waivers and you just need to drop it off there.
I was wondering the same if you have to come back for an interview once they approved your waiver. I thought that they call you and tell you what to do next.
