Cake Instructions:

Pre-heat oven at 350º

Combine flour and sugar in Lg. bowl. Heat butter, cocoa, and coke in saucepan and bring to a boil (mix until well blended)

Pour over flour and sugar and mix thoroughly. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla flavoring. Blend and then add marshmellows. Bake for 35-40 minutes.


Icing Instructions:

Combine butter, cocoa, coke in saucepan and bring to boil. Then pour over powdered sugar and mix well until it's smooth. Add nuts and pour over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven (needs to be hot) then cover it to keep it moist.

Once cooled, ENJOY!! :bounce:

It sounds sooo good. Does it matter what type of butter?

It doesn't really matter... but I just use it the same as she used it because I wanted it to be the same! Just make sure it's butter though and not margarine!

Me and my 3 year old son made this yesterday and it is GREAT!!! Very easy and very moist. We all are some last night and I caught my husband cutting a piece to take to work this morning. It was a FUN FAMILY EVENT. Thanks for the recipe

ok i know this is a dumb question but i gotta ask cuz i am a lazy butt.. lol.. but umm is there a recipe using just like a box cake mix??

Theresa... :scratch: I don't think there is a box cake recipe for this... I've never seen one!! Even if there was it probably wouldn't be as good!

R&E...I'm so glad you liked the recipe!! Isn't it SO good??!! Especially the frosting! :cheerful:

YES, I could have eaten just the bowl of frosting. My son and I were fighting over who was going to lick the spoon. HEE HEE HEE
